I'm Davinder Mahal; an artist, web developer, writer, producer, editor, audio mixer, woodworker, programmer, and entrepreneur.
I have never been able to just choose one profession and stick with it. I want to do so many things, ranging from writing, to media development, to engineering. Therefore, I've decided to do as many as I can. I've been given the chance to pursue my dreams and my entrepreneurial drive by forming a variety of companies that bring these areas together. Over the years I've been involved with DSM Cyber Media, Festival News Crew, and R & R Studios.
I enjoy writing. I've written several articles and papers that I've published on my site, as well as some that have either been published else where or referenced from other sites. ( James Bond - History & Appeal, NASA's Challenger page ) I enjoy writing technical papers, how-to's, and such, as seen on my web site. I also enjoy screen writing. I definitely see myself writing more films. Hopefully, you'll all get to see one someday too!
Anyone who knows me, knows I'm an Apple fan. I used my first Mac in 1993 and I was hooked. I read "Macs for Dummies" and from that point on I became the Mac dude in the family. From one Mac to another, I eventually landed an internship position at Apple Computer, Inc. in Cupertino in the summer of 2001. I worked on what is now the most popular piece of software Apple makes, iTunes.
Delicious is a social bookmarking site now owned by Yahoo! In late 2007 I joined the frontend engineering team and continued the work in the Delicious 2.0 project. Although I'd never used Delicious before joining the team I'm now a Delicious evangelist because quite frankly Delicious is one of the best web services out there.
As I've mentioned numerous times, I hope to write more about Delicious, it's uses, and how everyone, no matter what your skill set should be using Delicious as their way to remember the web.
You can always check out my Delicious Bookmarks to see what I'm remembering on the web.
I always liked Yahoo!, but after working there for over a year and half, I love Yahoo!. Sure, there are a few things, like all companies - including Apple - that I dislike, but Yahoo! is a great company making brilliant products for their users. I will always bleed purple.
To read more about me, or what I'm up to, you can check out my blog . I've written and continue to write articles and published them on my site, along with some software and media of mine.
